'Rebel' Rod's Rambliings - A very special show tonight on "From Under the Basement" -

Wanda Jackson & Jack White
By ‘Rebel’ Rod Ames

We are about 4 ½ hours away from “From Under the Basement” which broadcasts every Saturday Night from 10pm until 2am on KOOK 93.5 in beautiful Junction, Texas and on the web by clicking HERE or on the button above.

Tonight’s show is going to be another great one!

We’re going to hear a couple off of Rock – A – Billy legend, Wanda Jackson’s, Jack White produced, “The Party Ain’t Over”

In addition, I’ll be playing a track off of Black Joe Lewis and the Honey Bears new one “Scandalous”.

If you thought that was it then you are crazier than I am!

You’ll also be hearing Bob Geldof, Chuck Prophet, Dan Auerbach, Dave Alvin, JJ Cale, Delbert McClinton, Jimmie Vaughan, Eric Hisaw, John Mellencamp, Fats Domino, Hacienda, Elmore James, Gregg Almann, Yank Rahcell, Henry Gray, The Legendary Shack*Shakers, Drive-By Truckers, and a whole lot more!

And don’t forget about our 3rd installment of “After Midnight”. It starts right after we play "Dixie", after midnight! Tonight I’ll be playing the classic from 1970, Goose Creek Symphony’s “Est. 1970” in its entirety. It’s a great record, not to be missed.

So I’ll see you tonight. Don’t be silly and miss the thing now!

Here’s a little preview from the “After Midnight” feature - Goose Creek Symphony's live performance from a couple years back of  "Talk About Goose Creek and Other Important Places".  It's a great version. The studio version you will hear tonight is a little more, shall we say, on the psychedelic side of things. Enjoy!
