Back in 2007 when I first heard these two super-stars were collaborating on a record, I could not have imagined what was about to happen, but then, I am not T Bone Burnett. I have always been a huge admirer of Mr. Burnett, but until this gem was released I had not yet realized the genius that he was.
Most of us would have had Alison Krauss way over here in one pigeon hole with Robert Plant way over in another, completely unrelated section, the two artists never having the chance to intersect. Not Mr. Burnett though. In my humble opinion Mr. Burnett had produced one of the best of albums of the year with "Raising Sand". It still remains just as fresh four years later as it did the day it was released. I suspect we will be talking about these two many years down the road.
Just listen to "Gone, Gone, Gone (Done Moved On)" and you will see what I mean ~
